Visit DayTechnology Services In-Office Visit Day Program

The Technology Services In-Office Visit Day Program enhances the technology experience for faculty and staff by:

  • Providing personalized, on-site support

  • Conducting comprehensive equipment assessments

  • Addressing unresolved technology issues

This initiative helps ensure that all campus workspaces are optimized for productivity and equipped with properly functioning technology.


Program Overview

During pre-established times, the Technology Services team will visit business units across campus to deliver tailored support and perform in-depth reviews of technology equipment. These visits offer a chance to connect directly with Technology Services representatives, resolve outstanding issues, and identify areas for improvement within the workspace.


What to Expect During a Visit

  • Support for Unresolved Issues
    Faculty and staff can speak directly with a technician about ongoing tech concerns.

  • Technology Assessment

    • Computer Check: Technicians will inspect all computers for functionality and potential issues.

    • Cable Management: Cable organization will be evaluated, with improvements made where feasible.

  • Asset Documentation
    Asset tags and serial numbers for all technology equipment will be recorded for inventory purposes.

  • Identification of Unused or Outdated Equipment
    Old or unused devices (including phones, computers, and laptops) will be identified. Recommendations will be provided for responsible disposal, recycling, or repurposing.


Visit Logistics

  • Team Size: 2 to 4 technicians

  • Visit Duration: 1 to 4 hours, depending on department size and scope

  • Scheduling: Visits will be pre-scheduled and communicated in advance

Faculty and staff are encouraged to ensure that all equipment—especially computers—is present in the workspace on the scheduled day.
